1. Poppy Seeds and Products Containing Them
Importing poppy seeds or products containing them is strictly prohibited in the UAE. Even trace amounts on clothing can raise suspicion at customs.
2. Pork and Pork Products
Import is allowed only in limited quantities for personal use:
- The product must be in its original factory-sealed packaging.
- The amount must be reasonable for personal consumption.
- Special permissions may be required.
Failure to comply may result in confiscation and fines.
3. Medications
Many medications permitted in Russia are banned in the UAE without prior approval. These include:
